In 2005, Brussel's Bonsai moved into
a state-of-the-art facility in Olive Branch, MS. The new facility
caters to gardeners, Asian culture enthusiasts and those interested
in growing a piece of history. The nursery now has over 100,000
sq. ft. of greenhouse space devoted to bonsai.
Brussel's Bonsai has been a destination for serious bonsai hobbyists
for more than 30 years. In addition to growing trees, the nursery
hosts an annual gathering of bonsai enthusiasts called Rendezvous
which is held over Memorial Day weekend; internationally recognized
teachers (Masters) from around the world and students from all corners
of the U.S. Lectures, hands-on workshops and demonstrations highlight
the weekend-long event.
We also sell wholesale. Please call

Our Satsuki Azaleas are imported from Japan and are loaded with
blooms in late April and May.
This is a Hinoki Cypress and is part of Brussel’s personal
collection. Legend has it that he paid $8 for this tree 30 years ago.
This is a great example of what bonsai can develop into with routine
maintenance and proper care.
Satsuki Azaleas have a small leaf and bloom later in the spring
than our native azaleas.
Bonsai come in many shapes and sizes. These Chinese Elms have been
trained to cascade down from the container providing the viewer an
exciting new trunk line.
Our Chinese Elms have wonderfully curved trunks and amazing root
bases.
Bigger is not always better. We have a nice selection of shohin
(miniature) bonsai that provide an excellent microcosm of nature.
Brussel specializes in Phoenix Grafting which is the art of combining
ancient driftwood (frequently over 1,000 years old) with relatively
young whips of shimpaku junipers. The result is replicates a bonsai
masterpiece.
Dawn Redwoods have beautiful feather-like foliage.
You will not find a better selection of specimen bonsai anywhere
in the United States. Brussel’s Bonsai is one of just a few
nurseries the USDA allows to import bonsai trees into the United States.
We import more fine bonsai trees than anyone.
