The Arborvitae is an evergreen conifer that brings year-round beauty to any bonsai collection. Known for its rich, deep green foliage in summer and a softer green in winter, the Arborvitae’s compact, textured leaves and naturally sculpted, spire-like shape make it a striking addition to any display. Thrives outdoors above 20 degrees with protection—see Bonsai Care. Best paired with a 13" Humidity Tray.

Recently acquired bonsai

This is a remarkable little bonsai. When I first saw it on the Brussels catalog I thought I could provide some significant improvements. I've been shaping and training bonsais for 45 or 50 years, but when I received it and got to see it up close I realized it was there was nothing I could do to improve upon it. I will, of course, have to maintain it . this is probably the first time in all these years that a new bonsai didn't need significant improvement which is a testimony to the skill of the people who propagate and train these little trees.
