Perfect soil is essential for bonsai health. This proprietary blend, developed years ago and tested with thousands of trees, holds the ideal amount of water and never compacts. Use for all types of bonsai and in both indoor and outdoor settings.

The base of each tree is wrapped in plastic to retain moisture and to prevent any topsoil from spilling during shipment. Trees are wired to the pot, placed inside a double-walled carton for protection and secured with proprietary packing systems to keep them from shifting during transit.

Soil drains well, but I think it needs some smaller material mixed with what you have.
