Spring is the best time to repot. Repot young trees (up to 10 years) every other year. Repot older trees every 3-4 years. In the tropics it can be done at any time if given proper after care. Always allow the soil to become dry before repotting and do not water it until new growth appears. Keep it in a semi-shaded location until new growth begins, then place it in its normal location. Good drainage is most important.

I am so happy with this purchase of 2 forest green large oval bonsai pots. They came quickly, and very very well packed. They are beautiful, just the right combination of elegant and rustic. Good drainage. They are actually for some begonia cuttings my sister gave me which now need room for horizontal root development. Since I am not a bonsai expert at all, I do not know what the metal wires are for.
